SideStep Ticketing

Right off the bat, there’s one thing that you need to understand about SideStep – it isn’t a travel agent or a website that actually sells tickets. Instead, SideStep is a travel search engine that focuses on providing you with tons of great options that extend beyond just airline tickets. Basically, SideStep’s goal is to provide you with all the information you need to travel, and act as a one-stop resource that people can use in order to find out everything they need, and then book tickets and hotels accordingly.

Advantage of SideStep

Frankly speaking, SideStep has many advantages going for it. Its interface is easy to use and even someone who has never been to the site before can easily figure out what they’re supposed to be doing.

More importantly, however, the information it provides is certainly fairly impressive. It doesn’t just search for hotels and airfares, but it also will come up with car rentals, places of interest, and possible activities for any given location! Needless to say, this is definitely helpful for travelers, and it will help you pinpoint exactly what you want to do and exactly how you can do it!

It has a lot of providers and links to various ticketing agents, some of which you may have a hard trouble finding yourself. This gives it a wide range of information that is really pretty accurate and up to date – though there are some qualms about it (see below). All in all, if you want to plan out a trip – this is a resource that is worth checking out.

Disadvantages of SideStep

Generally, there are a few issues that people have with SideStep but one of those that frequent is the fact that it doesn’t really handle bookings itself but rather links to third-party websites. This means that you may have to visit individual websites to book air tickets, hotels, show tickets, attraction passes, and so on.

Some have even reported that the prices that SideStep lists are occasionally wrong. This is something that SideStep has said they’re working on – but for the time being, you should definitely refer to the listed price on the actual provider’s website rather than blindly trusting SideStep’s quote.

At the end of the day, SideStep is a great resource that really does help travelers to locate some great deals and even plan out their trips. Sure, it does have its downsides, but the impact that they have is really very minimal when all is said and done!
